Oak Hill Cemetery: The Twentieth Century

Sunday, May 19, 2:00p.m.-4:30 p.m. Tour departs from the Veteran’s Memorial to the right of the main entrance.  As the garden paths of the nineteenth century portion of the cemetery filled at the dawn of the twentieth century, the city platted and opened the “Western Addition.”  Here, following the new fashion of the day, Evansville’s elite are interred in lawn burials and a city of mausoleums.  Guide: Dennis M. Au
