Submitting payment for a ticket prior to your court appearance is an admission of the violation(s), or a pleading of nolo contendere, and will have the same effect as a court judgment. By paying in advance, your court appearance will be canceled and you wave your right to a trial. Some infractions require a court appearance and are not payable before court.
Tickets written by the Indiana State Police are generally available to pay within a week of issuance. Please allow 2-4 weeks for tickets issued by the Evansville Police Department or Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department to be available to pay online.
As of January 5, 2015, please note the website to pay traffic infractions has changed.
The new website has the option to search by Ticket Number (UTT#, usually found at the top of your ticket), by Driver's License Number, or by Name and Birthdate. Please be advised, if you don't search using the ticket number, you will need to select the correct case to pay. You may find more information about your cases, free of charge, by visiting mycase.in.gov.
If your ticket is not assessed, or if you get a message that the ticket is not payable at this time, please call the Misdemeanor Clerk's Office at (812) 435-5772 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. In some cases, the fees may be assessed by our office and you will be able to pay.
All payments made to the Clerk's Office through this internet service must be the exact and full amount to include fines and costs for all Traffic Citations issued. A convenience fee will be added to the ticket amount.
