Posted Date: 12/30/2016

Due to weather conditions, this Saturday's January Clean Evansville trash pick-up has been canceled. The next Clean Evansville event is set for Saturday, February 4, from 9-11 a.m. around Covert Avenue and Vann Avenue.

Clean Evansville will target areas in Jacobsville neighborhood during the monthly trash pick-up Saturday, January 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. Teams will gather at Garvin Park, 1500 N. Main Street.

Teams will start on North Main Street and move south toward Division Street. Another team will start on Morgan Avenue and move west toward First Avenue. Other teams will be working in the area along Heidelbach Avenue south toward Division Street. Finally, another team will be working in the Garvin Park area.

Teams will meet in the parking lot at Bosse Field to deposit trash collected during the clean-up. Clean Evansville partners with Republic Services to depose of all trash.

Since its inceptions in January 2012, Mayor Winnecke’s Clean Evansville Initiative has collected over 80 tons of litter and trash with the assistance of 7,400 volunteers.
